The reason we are always on the receiving end is because we have positioned ourselves as the people who have the answers. The sceptics, on the other hand, position themselves as the people who have the questions. Now, if you are honest, you will grant that there are more questions than there are answers. The reason is that an answer is only an answer if there is a question to which it is responding. If there is no question, the answer ceases to be called an answer.
Ideally, God did not intend for us to have our questions answered before we establish a relationship with him.
The first recorded question in the history of mankind, was asked by the serpent: Did God really say? (Genesis 3:1).
And what can you say about the first answer?
Well questions have become part of life just like clothes. The innocent Adam and Eve were naked. But after the fall, they had to use clothes. Like clothes we can use questions but we better be clear what we use them for. We can ask God questions but we must never question Him.
Meanwhile, we can swop places with the sceptics. They also have some answers to provide. And we have some questions to ask.
