It Works Both Ways (Part 2)

At the time I got convicted to get saved I tried all I could to withstand the conviction. The main reason was that I had some exciting things I was at the verge of doing. I knew that getting saved would mean letting go my plans.

For me getting saved was a big sacrifice—I sacrificed the best that a sensual man can sacrifice. I have met people who quote the Bible when it is in their favour not when it is calling them to make a sacrifice.

It is only logical to expect to harvest if you once sacrificed and planted a seed.

When I said in part 1 that we must allow the Bible to work “against” us first, it means that we must be willing to ‘lose’ if we have to gain. In true Christianity, we gain by losing and lose by gaining.
(see Matthew 8:10:39, 16:25)
